Employment for People with Disabilities
Tresco and Ability One Contracts
Tresco has over 175 employees with significant disabilities working on our Ability One Federal Contracts in and around Southern New Mexico. One of the crucial benchmarks for the Ability One program in regards to contract services is that 75% of the direct labor hours must be provided by individuals with significant disabilities. Tresco has consistently exceeded that benchmark, while continuing to provide exceptional customer service. Additionally these Ability One Federal Contracts provide excellent paying jobs with an average salary of $13.00 per hour with benefits. Thus the program allows employees to have a large positive economic impact on the local economies.
Ability One Contracts
Currently Tresco provides support services on 7 Ability One Federal Contracts in the region. These contracts cover a diverse section of support ranging from Custodial Support at the Federal Courthouse in Las Cruces New Mexico to Facilities Maintenance at the High Energy Laser Systems Test Facility (HELSTF).
Through these contract Tresco is able to offer a wide vary of positions including custodial, grounds maintenance, trades helpers, general maintenance, electricians, HVAC and Heavy equipment support to name a few.
