The employee can choose either employee, or employee/children. Each plan includes medical, dental and prescription card. Monthly premiums will vary depending on the coverage and plan you chosen. Tresco also pays a portion of the employee premium on the employee’s behalf. The Plan is available to all 30 hour and full time employees. Specific terms of the plans and premium amounts may be obtained from Administrative Services Supervisor.
LIFE INSURANCE in an amount equal to twice your annual salary, with a minimum of $25,000 and maximum of $100,000 is provided at no cost to you. Also, included is a rider for Accidental Death or Dismemberment, which increases the benefits. The plan is available to all ¾ and full time employees. Specific terms of the plans may be obtained from Administrative Services Supervisor.
LONG TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE provides approximately 60% of the employees income to the employee beginning with the 91st day of a non-work related illness or injury when the doctor certifies that the employee is unable to return to work. Tresco pays the premium for this insurance in full. The plan is available to all ¾ and full time employees. Specific terms of the plans may be obtained from Human Resources Coordinator.
RETIREMENT is available through a 403(b) Plan, sometimes called a “Tax Sheltered Annuity” or (TSA). The Plan is available to employees who have worked at Tresco for 1 year and at least 1,000 hours. The employee must contribute 2½% of their gross income and Tresco makes a contribution, as determined by the Board of Directors, on December 31 of each year. Specific terms of the plans may be obtained from the Vice President of Financial Services.
AN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PLAN (EAP) is available to all Tresco employees and their family members. The plan provides telephone assistance at any time and up to 6 counseling sessions, either personal or work related per year. There is no charge to the employee. Specific terms of the plan may be obtained from Administrative Services.
THE MUTUAL BENEFIT FUND is unique to Tresco. Any regular ½, ¾ or full time employee employed for at least 90 days is eligible to join. For as little as 50¢ a payday, the employee can become eligible to borrow up to $825 year or $275 each time. The only charge is a 2% administrative fee. The payback is done through payroll deduction. Specific terms of the plan may be obtained from Administrative Services.
PAID TIME OFF HOURS begin accruing for all regular, 1/2, 3/4 and full time employees with their first paycheck. The number of hours accrued increases for each year of service. Specific details may be found in the Employee Handbook. Eligible to use after 6-months.
THE EMERGENCY LEAVE BANK is also a benefit available to any regular 1/2, 3/4 or full time employee employed for at least 90 days. Depending on number of years employed at Tresco a one-time contribution of 8 hours of leave a member may request from 1 to 2 weeks of leave for an emergency. A 20% payback is required after the employee returns to work. Specific terms of the plan may be obtained from Administrative Services.
Additionally, each regular employee may request COMPASSIONATE LEAVE up to 24 hours for the death
of an immediate family member. Specific terms of the plan may be obtained from Administrative Services.
Tresco’s Administrative Services provides TRAINING for all employees. An internal curriculum as well as access to outside training available. Specific information may be obtained from Administrative Services.
