A program for people caring for a family member with Autism.

What type of activities will be offered?

Recreational Respite offers individuals the opportunity to take part in various meaningful leisure activities that are community based such as arts and crafts, games, hiking, music and dance, swimming, gymnastics, spectator sports, learning activities with animals and community exploration. Our program is a great place to make new friends, increase self-esteem and enhance social skills.

Who is eligible to attend this program?

This program is for children ages 5 through 22 who live with Autism or an Autism Spectrum Disorder and do not receive any Waiver funded services.

Who are the staff at the Tresco, Inc. Recreational Respite?

Recreational respite staff are motivated, enthusiastic and well trained employees of Tresco, Inc. Staff are fingerprinted and required to pass a criminal background check. In addition, the ration for supervision will not exceed 2 participants per staff member.

When and where is the Tresco, Inc. Recreational Respite program held?

Recreational Respite is held at a variety of community locations one time per month for three hours per activity. Interested participants will be grouped according to age. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
