Supported Employment

To apply for services, please contact us.

Supported employment services provide needed ongoing supports for individuals wanting to work in the community. The activities offered in this service are designed to increase or maintain the individual’s skills and independence.

This may include job exploration, development and placement; and on-the-job training, support, and coaching. Job coach staff train individuals at their job site to perform all job tasks and to participate in all work-related activities (e.g. lunch, breaks, company parties, co-worker relationships).

Supported employment services may also include assistance with social security and other public benefits, transportation training and/or coordination, personal care activities to help support the individual in the work setting, medication administration and/or assistance and nursing support, and developing effective self-advocacy skills.

A 24-hour on-call system provides emergency backup support for all individuals receiving supported employment services in order to assure the health and safety of the individual.

These services are designed around the individual’s unique needs and desires and promote access to valued employment and meaningful work in the community.
