October marks a special occasion on the calendar, one that calls for reflection, celebration, and action — National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). This month serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of fostering inclusivity and creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the workforce. Tresco Works leadership and community members gathered at a heartwarming and empowering event — Tresco Works National Disability Employment Awareness Month Community Breakfast.

This annual gathering brought individuals from all over the county – employers, advocates, employees and those with disabilities. The event created a diverse and welcoming atmosphere where individuals enjoyed a meal, conversations, learned more about the impact of our mission and created connections.

It was an honor to recognize a long standing partner in providing employment opportunities and skill development for persons with disabilities. New Mexico Department of Transportation District 1 was recognized and honored as our 2023 Tresco Works Business of the Year! This significant highlight not only acknowledged their efforts but also served as a source of inspiration for other businesses present to follow suit.
